A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: La Venaria Reale (in Venaria Reale), Sacra di San Michele (in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino) and Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi (in Stupinigi). There's much more to do: contemplate the long history of Basilica di Superga, make a trip to Piazza San Carlo, examine the collection at National Cinema Museum, and explore the world behind art at Egyptian Museum of Turin.

If you are flying in from India, the closest major airports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around 27°C in September, and nighttime lows around 17°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 1st (Thu) to allow enough time to travel back home.
