City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso and Le Tombe Reali. Change things up with a short trip to Colle del Nivolet in Ceresole Reale (about 1h 25 min away). Dedicate the 14th (Fri) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. The adventure continues: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Basilica di Maria Ausiliatrice, take some stellar pictures from Basilica of Superga, and examine the collection at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile.

For where to stay, more things to do, photos, and more tourist information, refer to the Turin trip planner.

If you are flying in from Portugal, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In June, daytime highs in Turin are 26°C, while nighttime lows are 18°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 16th (Sun) so you can travel back home.
