Turin— 2 nights
City of Magic
A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.Change things up with these side-trips from Turin: Teatro Romano (in Aosta) and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II (in Milan). There's still lots to do: take some stellar pictures from Basilica of Superga, get engrossed in the history at Museo Egizio, examine the collection at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, and walk around Parco del Valentino.
To find more things to do, photos, maps, and other tourist information, read Turin trip itinerary tool.
If you are flying in from Switzerland, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In January, daily temperatures in Turin can reach 6°C, while at night they dip to 1°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 20th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
