Barolo is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 50km southeast of Turin and about 40km northeast of Cuneo. Change things up with these side-trips from Barolo: Mondovicino Outlet Village (in Mondovi), Castello della Manta (in Manta) and Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis (in Vicoforte). There's still lots to do: examine the collection at WiMu - Museo del Vino a Barolo, do a tasting at Marchesi di Barolo - Sede legale, magazzini e spedizioni, stop by Barbero, and don't miss a visit to Panchina blu di Chris Bangle.

To find more things to do, photos, reviews, and tourist information, read our Barolo attractions app .

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In May, daily temperatures in Barolo can reach 69°F, while at night they dip to 50°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 10th (Sun) early enough to travel back home.
