Portoferraio is a town and comune in the province of Livorno, on the edge of the eponymous harbour of the island of Elba. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Portoferraio: Spiaggia delle Tombe (in Campo nell'Elba), Capoliveri (Spiaggia Di Buzzancone o Cera & Centro Subacqueo Il Corsaro) and Dolphin & Whale Watching (in Marina di Campo). And it doesn't end there: enjoy the sand and surf at Spiaggia Canata, stroll through Spiaggia Luisi d'Angelo, look for gifts at Il Mondo di Wit, and see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour.

San Gimignano

A historical gem in the heart of Tuscany, San Gimignano is known as the Town of Fine Towers for its jutting skyline of high city walls.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near San Gimignano: Siena (Basilica Cateriniana Di S. Domenico, Scuola di Cucina di Lella, &more). There's more to do: learn about winemaking at Guardastelle Vineyard and steep yourself in history at Torre Grossa.
