In many ways the most modern of Italian cities, Milan is a busy, elegant metropolis with an impressive list of grand palaces, fine churches, and important museums.
On the 24th (Tue), buy something for everyone on your list at Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, take in the spiritual surroundings of Duomo di Milano, then get to know the fascinating history of Piazza del Duomo, then stroll the grounds of Monumental Cemetery, and finally explore the world behind art at Pinacoteca Ambrosiana.

Considered a cultural, artistic, and architectural jewel of Italy, Florence is the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance.
Explore Florence's surroundings by going to Leaning Tower of Pisa (in Pisa) and San Michele in Foro (in Lucca). Dedicate the 28th (Sat) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area.
