Fondly referred to as “El Sur” by the locals, Maspalomas serves as a hub of entertainment and beach activity on Gran Canary Island.
You'll get in some beach time at Playa de Mogan and Playa de Maspalomas. Take a break from the city and head to Playa de Amadores and Reserva Natural Especial de Las Dunas de Maspalomas. Change things up with a short trip to Las Canteras Beach in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (about 46 minutes away).

Your cultural itinerary includes sights like La Carihuela and Albayzin. Royal Chapel of Granada and Mirador de San Nicolas will appeal to history buffs. Explore Granada's surroundings by going to Balcon de Europa (in Nerja), Malaga (Alcazaba & Castillo de Gibralfaro) and Marbella Old Town (in Marbella). There's still lots to do: take in nature's colorful creations at Generalife.

Siena, a medieval Tuscan city, features numerous attractions, including a historic town center, alleyways, towers, and well-preserved buildings.
Visit Historic Centre of San Gimignano and Duomo di Orvieto for their historical value. Get a sense of the local culture at Torre del Mangia and Basilica Papale e Sacro Convento di San Francesco d'Assisi. Step out of Siena to go to Saturnia and see Cascate del Mulino, which is approximately 1h 45 min away. There's more to do: pause for some serene contemplation at Duomo di Siena and make a trip to Piazza del Campo.

You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Winchester Cathedral and Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology. Get some historical perspective at Blenheim Palace and Bath Abbey. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Bath: Bristol (Brunel's SS Great Britain & Clifton Suspension Bridge), Salisbury Cathedral and Magna Carta (in Salisbury) and Bournemouth Beach (in Bournemouth).
