A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Start off your visit on the 3rd (Thu): pause for some serene contemplation at Santa Maria del Monte - Monte dei Cappuccini, contemplate the long history of Villa della Regina, then explore the historical opulence of Castello e Parco di Masino, and finally step into the grandiose world of Castle of Agliè. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 4th (Fri): explore the world behind art at MAO Museo di Arte Orientale, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Santuario Basilica Maria Ausiliatrice, then get a taste of the local shopping with Via Roma, and finally wander the streets of Quadrilatero Romano.

For reviews, other places to visit, where to stay, and more tourist information, read Turin travel itinerary planner.

Expect a daytime high around 31°C in August, and nighttime lows around 22°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 4th (Fri) early enough to travel back home.
