City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Start off your visit on the 24th (Sun): examine the collection at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, then admire the landmark architecture of Palazzo Reale, and then get engrossed in the history at Museo Egizio. Here are some ideas for day two: see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, then make a trip to Piazza San Carlo, then see the interesting displays at Civic Museum of Ancient Art (Palazzo Madama), and finally get great views at Basilica of Superga.

For reviews, where to stay, and other tourist information, go to the Turin journey maker website.

If you are flying in from Denmark, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around 24°C in September, and nighttime lows around 17°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 25th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
