City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Start off your visit on the 24th (Tue): admire the masterpieces at Museo Egizio, then admire the landmark architecture of Palazzo Reale, then view the masterpieces at Reggia di Venaria Reale, and finally see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile. Here are some ideas for day two: get great views at Basilica of Superga, then make a trip to Piazza San Carlo, and then examine the collection at Museo Nazionale del Cinema.

If you are flying in from Australia, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In September in Turin, expect temperatures between 24°C during the day and 17°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 25th (Wed) early enough to travel back home.
