A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Start off your visit on the 25th (Mon): see the interesting displays at Civic Museum of Ancient Art (Palazzo Madama), take a stroll through Quadrilatero Romano, then slough off your stress at Turkish baths, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Basilica di Superga. Here are some ideas for day two: take an in-depth tour of Museo Nazionale del Risorgimento, then steep yourself in history at Royal Palace (Palazzo Reale), then appreciate the views at Colle del Moncenisio, and finally soothe aching muscles at some of the top local wellness centers.

To find photos, ratings, where to stay, and other tourist information, you can read our Turin travel guide.

If you are flying in from Ireland, the closest major airports are Turin Airport and Cuneo International Airport. In July, plan for daily highs up to 34°C, and evening lows to 25°C.
