City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Get outdoors at Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso and Centro Recupero Animali Selvatici. Castello di Issogne and Castello e Parco di Masino will appeal to history buffs. Change things up with these side-trips from Turin: Cave Bossea (in Frabosa Soprana), Castello Sarriod de La Tour (in St. Pierre) and Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis (in Vicoforte). Spend the 18th (Mon) exploring nature at Parco Regionale del Mont Avic. There's much more to do: see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, take an in-depth tour of Museo del Carcere Le Nuove, pause for some serene contemplation at Chiesa di Santa Maria del Monte dei Cappuccini, and explore the historical opulence of Castello della Manta.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In June, plan for daily highs up to 73°F, and evening lows to 60°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 21st (Thu) early enough to travel back home.
