City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Get outdoors at Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso and River Rafting & Tubing. Castello e Parco di Masino and Castello di Issogne will appeal to history buffs. Change things up with these side-trips from Turin: Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis (in Vicoforte), Castello Sarriod de La Tour (in St. Pierre) and Cave Bossea (in Frabosa Soprana). Spend the 18th (Mon) exploring nature at Parco Regionale del Mont Avic. There's much more to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Sacro Monte, admire the masterpieces at Fondazione Accorsi Ometto - Museo di Arti Decorative, take an in-depth tour of Museo del Carcere Le Nuove, and see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In June, plan for daily highs up to 73°F, and evening lows to 60°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 21st (Thu) early enough to travel back home.
