City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Get outdoors at Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso and Centro Recupero Animali Selvatici. Castello e Parco di Masino and Castello della Manta will appeal to history buffs. Change things up with these side-trips from Turin: Castello di Issogne (in Issogne), Cave Bossea (in Frabosa Soprana) and Castello Sarriod de La Tour (in St. Pierre). Spend the 18th (Mon) exploring nature at Parco Regionale del Mont Avic. There's still lots to do: get engrossed in the history at Museo del Carcere Le Nuove, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Sacro Monte, make a trip to Chiesa di Santa Maria del Monte dei Cappuccini, and get a taste of the local shopping with Via Roma.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. June in Turin sees daily highs of 73°F and lows of 60°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 21st (Thu) to allow time to travel back home.
