Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
Get some cultural insight at Cannaregio and Chiesa di San Giacomo di Rialto. Visit Santa Maria dei Miracoli and Via Savonarola for their historical value. Venture out of the city with trips to La tomba del Petrarca (in Arqua Petrarca), Vicenza (Santuario della Madonna di Monte Berico, Chiesa di Santa Corona, & more) and Ferrara (Museo di Casa Romei, Monastero di Sant'Antonio in Polesine, & more).
