Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Cape Saint Vincent and Fort of Santo Antonio de Belixe. Step out of the city life by going to Praia da Cordoama and Telheiro Beach. Explore Sagres' surroundings by going to Aljezur (Praia Da Amoreira & Praia do Amado). There's much more to do: kick back and relax at Bordeira Beach, take in the waterfront at Porto da Baleeira, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Amado Beach.

Called "Oporto" by many, the city of Porto along the Duoro River lent the country and Port wine their names. Portugal's second-largest metropolis dates back to the 4th century, representing both a rich cultural past and industrial present through its architecture and style.
Porto Cathedral (Se Catedral) and Monumento aos Herois da Guerra Peninsular will appeal to history buffs. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Museu Serralves and Museu Nacional de Soares dos Reis. When in Porto, make a side trip to see Nau Quinhentista in Vila do Conde, approximately Vila do Conde away. There's still lots to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Praia de Lavadores, kick back and relax at Praia do Carneiro, examine the collection at FC Porto Museum, and learn about winemaking at Pocas Vinhos.
