A beautiful and romantic city fit for any itinerary, Paris brims with historic associations and remains vastly influential in the realms of culture, art, fashion, food and design.
Step out of Paris with an excursion to Palace of Versailles in Versailles--about 48 minutes away. There's much more to do: explore the world behind art at Louvre Museum, take in panoramic vistas at Eiffel Tower, admire the landmark architecture of Arc de Triomphe, and steep yourself in history at Sainte-Chapelle.

You can drive from Nice to Milan in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and bus; or take a train. When traveling from Nice in July, plan for a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Milan: temperatures range from 36°C by day to 23°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 31st (Tue) to allow enough time to take a train to Venice.
