In many ways the most modern of Italian cities, Milan is a busy, elegant metropolis with an impressive list of grand palaces, fine churches, and important museums.
Get outdoors at Stand-Up Paddleboarding and Orrido di Bellano. Duomo di Milano and Menaggio are good opportunities to explore the local culture. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Milan: Riva Bianca Beach (in Lierna), Sentiero dei Forti (in Colico) and Spiaggia Tranquilla (in Dorio). There's much more to do: admire the landmark architecture of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, step into the grandiose world of Castello Sforzesco, see La Casa Maledetta, and get to know the fascinating history of Piazza del Duomo.

Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
Step out of the city life by going to Canal Grande and Bagni Alberoni. St. Mark's Square and Ponte dei Sospiri are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get out of town with these interesting Venice side-trips: PDC Cartizze (in Valdobbiadene) and Fondazione Bisazza (in Montecchio Maggiore). There's still lots to do: see the interesting displays at Doge's Palace, take a stroll through Campo del Ghetto, admire the striking features of Basilica di San Marco, and take in the exciting artwork at San Marco 801.
