City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Step off the beaten path and head to Sacro Monte di Orta and Castello di Issogne. Appreciate the collections at Museo Forte Bramafam and Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Cave Bossea (in Frabosa Soprana), Centro storico (in Cuneo) and Castello Reale di Sarre (in Sarre). There's much more to do: pause for some serene contemplation at Abbazia di Santa Maria di Staffarda, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Sacro Monte, contemplate the long history of Parco della Rocca Borromea, and trek along Rifugio Vittorio Sella.

To find photos, reviews, other places to visit, and tourist information, read Turin online visit planner.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around 69°F in September, and nighttime lows around 58°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 15th (Fri) to allow time to travel back home.
