City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Step off the beaten path and head to Sacro Monte di Orta and Villa della Regina. Appreciate the collections at Museo Forte Bramafam and Il Bucintoro dei Savoia. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art (in Rivoli), Cave Bossea (in Frabosa Soprana) and Centro storico (in Cuneo). The adventure continues: explore the historical opulence of Castello di Issogne, stroll through Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso, relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour, and explore the ancient world of Criptoportico Forense.

For traveler tips, photos, reviews, and more tourist information, you can read our Turin visit planner.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. September in Turin sees daily highs of 69°F and lows of 58°F at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 15th (Fri) early enough to travel back home.
