City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Get some cultural insight at Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi and Ricetto di Candelo. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Castello di Grinzane Cavour and Civic Museum of Ancient Art (Palazzo Madama). Venture out of the city with trips to Vicolungo The Style Outlets (in Vicolungo), Castel Savoia (in Gressoney Saint Jean) and Sacro Monte di Orta (in Orta San Giulio). Spend the 29th (Sun) exploring nature at Parco Regionale del Mont Avic. There's lots more to do: get engrossed in the history at Museo Pietro Micca e dell'assedio di Torino del 1706, pause for some serene contemplation at Santuario di Oropa, explore the world behind art at MAO - Museo d'Arte Orientale, and see the interesting displays at Juventus Museum.

To see other places to visit, more things to do, photos, and other tourist information, read Turin travel route builder site.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In October, plan for daily highs up to 58°F, and evening lows to 51°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 30th (Mon) so you can travel back home.
