A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Castello di Grinzane Cavour and Armeria Reale. Take a break from the city and head to Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso and Pila. Venture out of the city with trips to Fontanafredda (in Serralunga d'Alba), Castel Savoia (in Gressoney Saint Jean) and Ricetto di Candelo (in Candelo). There's lots more to do: take a stroll through Quadrilatero Romano, do a tasting at Azienda Agricola Ca Neuva, pause for some serene contemplation at Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis, and get engrossed in the history at Museo Pietro Micca.

If you are flying in from China, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In November, plan for daily highs up to °C, and evening lows to °C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 29th (Wed) so you can travel back home.
