In many ways the most modern of Italian cities, Milan is a busy, elegant metropolis with an impressive list of grand palaces, fine churches, and important museums.
On the 14th (Mon), admire the landmark architecture of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, take in the spiritual surroundings of Duomo di Milano, then take an in-depth tour of Basilica di Sant'Ambrogio, and finally step into the grandiose world of Castello Sforzesco. Valmadrera is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Lecco in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 45km northeast of Milan and about 3km west of Lecco. Start off your visit on the 16th (Wed): tour the pleasant surroundings at Anything But Work and then get great views at Monumento Naturale Regionale del Sasso di Preguda. Made up of five picturesque towns on the Ligurian coast, Cinque Terre is Italy's answer to the French Riviera.
On the 18th (Fri), stop by Cinque Terre Trekking Gear Shop, stroll through Il Sentiero da Levanto a Monterosso, and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Cinque Terre footpaths. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 19th (Sat): get great views at Bar Terza Terra, then take in the waterfront at Passeggiata Lungomare, then pause for some photo ops at Monumento a San Francesco d'Assisi, and finally kick back and relax at Spiaggia di Fegina.

Bring the kids along to Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and The Boboli Gardens. Take a break from Florence with a short trip to Leaning Tower of Pisa in Pisa, about 1h 10 min away.
