A beautiful and romantic city fit for any itinerary, Paris brims with historic associations and remains vastly influential in the realms of culture, art, fashion, food and design.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Île de la Cité and Cimetiere de Montmartre. The Trianons & The Hamlet and Left Bank (Rive Gauche) will appeal to history buffs. The adventure continues: see the interesting displays at Musee Nissim de Camondo, contemplate the long history of Conciergerie, pause for some serene contemplation at Sainte-Chapelle, and take an in-depth tour of Maison de Victor Hugo.

Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute and Palazzo Mocenigo. Get a sense of the local culture at Chiesa della Madonna dell'Orto and Ca' Rezzonico. Get out of town with these interesting Venice side-trips: Padua (Scrovegni Chapel, Chiesa degli Eremitani, &more). There's still lots to do: admire the striking features of Scala Contarini del Bovolo, admire the masterpieces at Ca' d'Oro, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Parrocchia Santa Maria Formosa, and make a trip to Chiesa di San Zaccaria.

Get some historical perspective at Basilica di Santa Prassede and Ghetto Ebraico. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Villa Farnesina and National Museum of Palazzo Venezia. There's much more to do: get great views at Colle Capitolino, steep yourself in history at Forum of Augustus, make a trip to Basilica Papale di Santa Maria Maggiore, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Abbey of St. Paul Outside the Walls.

Often referred to as the gem of the Amalfi Coast, Positano remains one of southern Italy's most sought-after vacation locales, thanks to its hillside location and picturesque, pastel buildings.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Villa Rufolo and Duomo di Salerno. Get some historical perspective at Church of Santa Maria Assunta and Castello di Arechi. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Positano: Villa Romana e Antiquarium (in Minori) and Ravello (Villa Cimbrone Gardens, La Bottega delle Arti, &more). Next up on the itinerary: kick back and relax at Fornillo and stop by Feludei.

Traveling by car from Rome to Positano takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and subway; or take a bus. Plan for somewhat warmer nights when traveling from Rome in April since evenings lows in Positano dip to 15°C.
