City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Get outdoors at Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso and River Rafting & Tubing. Explore hidden gems such as Castello di Issogne and Aosta Old Town. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Castello di Verres (in Verres), Castello di Fenis (in Fenis) and Lago Blu (in Breuil-Cervinia). There's still lots to do: take in the dramatic scenery at Cascate del Rutor, don't miss a visit to Chiesa di Santa Maria del Monte dei Cappuccini, explore the historical opulence of Castello e Parco di Masino, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Riserva Naturale dei Ciciu del Villar.

In August, daily temperatures in Turin can reach 28°C, while at night they dip to 20°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 18th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
