City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Change things up with these side-trips from Turin: Abbazia di Santa Maria di Vezzolano (in Albugnano), Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi (in Stupinigi) and Orta San Giulio (Lake Orta & San Giulio Island). There's still lots to do: examine the collection at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, steep yourself in history at Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone, catch a live event at Juventus Stadium, and don't miss a visit to Piazza Castello.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In September, daytime highs in Turin are 69°F, while nighttime lows are 58°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 10th (Wed) to allow time to travel back home.
