Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
Your inner history buff will appreciate Piazza San Marco and St Mark's Campanile. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Doge's Palace and Scrovegni Chapel. Change things up with these side-trips from Venice: Fondazione Bisazza (in Montecchio Maggiore), Le Tegnue dell'Alto Adriatico (in Caorle) and Isola dei morti (in Moriago della Battaglia). In many ways the most modern of Italian cities, Milan is a busy, elegant metropolis with an impressive list of grand palaces, fine churches, and important museums.
Start off your visit on the 27th (Thu): admire the striking features of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Duomo di Milano, thenappreciate the extensive heritage of Piazza del Duomo, and finally explore the historical opulence of Castello Sforzesco. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: look for all kinds of wild species at Oasi di Sant'Alessio, explore the different monuments and memorials at Monumental Cemetery, and then contemplate the long history of Il Cenacolo.

Known for its idyllic location on the shores of Lake Como and at the foot of the Alps, Como is one of northern Italy's most popular tourist destinations.
Start off your visit on the 29th (Sat): see the sights as you ascend with Lake Como Adventures.
