Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Peggy Guggenheim Collection and Basilica di San Marco. Museum-lovers will get to explore Doge's Palace and Giudecca 795 Art Gallery. Change things up with these side-trips from Venice: Le Tegnue dell'Alto Adriatico (in Caorle), Area Naturalistica-Monumentale Isola dei morti (in Moriago della Battaglia) and Scrovegni Chapel (in Padua). And it doesn't end there: contemplate the waterfront views at Canal Grande, get a taste of the local shopping with Fondazione Bisazza, admire the landmark architecture of St Mark's Campanile, and take a stroll through Cannaregio.

In June, plan for daily highs up to 32°C, and evening lows to 20°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 26th (Wed) early enough to catch the train to Milan.
