One of the largest resort towns in the Caribbean, Varadero boasts a 20 km (12 mi) long stretch of sand, lined with hotels and all-inclusive resorts.
Let the collections at Mi Casa Beatles and Pharmaceutical Museum capture your imagination. Step off the beaten path and head to Varahicacos Ecological Reserve and Nature & Wildlife Tours. Change things up with a short trip to Cuevas de Bellamar in Matanzas (about 50 minutes away). Next up on the itinerary: tee off at Varadero Golf Club, enjoy the sand and surf at Coral Beach - Playa Coral, contemplate the long history of Cueva de Ambrosio, and pause for some serene contemplation at Iglesia Santa Elvira.

Vancouver, Canada to Varadero is an approximately 10- hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train. Traveling from Vancouver to Varadero, you'll lose 3 hours due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Vancouver in March, things will get warmer in Varadero: highs are around 32°C and lows about 19°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to Trinidad.

Built on sugar and seemingly preserved in molasses, the town of Trinidad attracts visitors with its well-aged 19th century architecture and rustic charm, showcasing the sounds, scents, and sights of days gone by.
Get in touch with nature at Topes de Collantes and Salto del Caburni. Palacio de Valle and Iglesia de San Juan Batista will appeal to history buffs. Venture out of the city with trips to Museo de Agroindustria Azucarera (in Remedios), Monumento a la Toma del Tren Blindado (in Santa Clara) and Cienfuegos (Delfinario de Cienfuegos & Ferrer Palace). There's still lots to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Convento de San Francisco de Asis, examine the collection at Museo de Historia Municipal, don't miss a visit to Trinidad de Cuba, and get a taste of the local shopping with Deustua Galeria Taller.

Cuba's capital and major commercial center, Havana manages to be very old and very modern at the same time.
Discover out-of-the-way places like Palacio De Los Capitanes Generales and Church and Convent of St. Francis of Asisi. Visiting Sea Turtle Hatchery and Playa Mal Tiempo will get you outdoors. The adventure continues: surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour, steep yourself in history at Castillo de la Real Fuerza, examine the collection at Taquechel Pharmacy Museum, and visit Vedado.

You can fly from Camaguey to Havana in 2 hours. Other options are to drive; or take a shuttle. Expect a daytime high around 32°C in March, and nighttime lows around 19°C. On the 26th (Thu), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel back home.
