City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Attractions like Porta Pretoria and Lago d'Arpy make great kid-friendly stops. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso and Lago Blu. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Fontanafredda (in Serralunga d'Alba), Castello Reale di Sarre (in Sarre) and River Rafting & Tubing (in La Salle). The adventure continues: brush up on your military savvy at Museo Forte Bramafam, step into the grandiose world of Castello di Verres, tour the pleasant surroundings at Rifugio Vittorio Sella, and see the interesting displays at Museum of the Holy Shroud (Museo della Sindone).

If you are flying in from Poland, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. August in Turin sees daily highs of 28°C and lows of 20°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Fri) to allow enough time to travel back home.
