City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Museo Egizio and Piazza San Carlo. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso (in Aosta), Milan (Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Duomo di Milano, &more) and Colle del Nivolet (in Ceresole Reale). There's much more to do: examine the collection at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, steep yourself in history at Palazzo Reale, don't miss a visit to Piazza Castello, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone.

To see traveler tips, photos, maps, and other tourist information, use the Turin trip itinerary planning website.

If you are flying in from Germany, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In September, plan for daily highs up to 24°C, and evening lows to 17°C.
