In many ways the most modern of Italian cities, Milan is a busy, elegant metropolis with an impressive list of grand palaces, fine churches, and important museums.
Start off your visit on the 23rd (Sun): make a trip to Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, then explore the wide array of goods at Rinascente Milano, and then take in the spiritual surroundings of Duomo di Milano.

Turin to Milan is an approximately 1- hour train ride. You can also drive; or take a bus. While traveling from Turin, expect a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Milan, ranging from highs of 21°C to lows of 13°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Sun) to allow enough time to take a train to Venice.

Located in the popular holiday region of Ticino, Lugano is the largest Italian-speaking town in Switzerland.
Escape the urban bustle at Lake Lugano and Monte San Salvatore. Head to Laderach Chocolaterie Suisse and Fox Town Factory Storesfor some retail therapy. Go for a jaunt from Lugano to Bellinzona to see Castelgrande about 40 minutes away. There's more to do: walk around Parco Civico.
