A beautiful and romantic city fit for any itinerary, Paris brims with historic associations and remains vastly influential in the realms of culture, art, fashion, food and design.
Louvre Museum and Musee d'Orsay will appeal to museum buffs. Step off the beaten path and head to Ile Saint-Louis and The Army Museum. Next up on the itinerary: admire the striking features of Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris, pause for some photo ops at Arc de Triomphe, contemplate the long history of Sainte-Chapelle, and step off the mainland to explore Île de la Cité.

Amsterdam, Holland to Paris is an approximately 3.5-hour train ride. You can also fly; or drive. In December, plan for daily highs up to 47°F, and evening lows to 37°F. On the 30th (Mon), you'll have the morning to explore before heading off to Brussels.

Start off your visit on the 30th (Mon): examine the collection at Beer Museum and then don't miss a visit to Grand Place. You can take a train from Paris to Brussels in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or drive. In December in Brussels, expect temperatures between 43°F during the day and 35°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 1st (Wed) early enough to take a train to Bruges.

Start off your visit on the 1st (Wed): see the interesting displays at Choco-Story - The Chocolate Museum, then contemplate the long history of Historic Centre of Brugge, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Basilica of the Holy Blood, and finally make a trip to The Markt. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 2nd (Thu): appreciate the extensive heritage of The Princely Beguinage Ten Wijngaarde, get engrossed in the history at Torture Museum Oude Steen, stop by The Old Chocolate House, then take in panoramic vistas at Belfry of Bruges, and finally sample the tasty concoctions at Huisbrouwerij De Halve Maan.

You can take a train from Brussels to Bruges in 1.5 hours. Other options are to drive; or take a bus. January in Bruges sees daily highs of 44°F and lows of 35°F at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 3rd (Fri) early enough to go by car to Amsterdam.
