Ostia Antica is a large archeological site, close to the modern suburb of Ostia, that was the location of the harbour city of ancient Rome, which is approximately 30km to the northeast. Kick off your visit on the 15th (Fri): kick back and relax at Bau Beach, then steep yourself in history at Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, and then examine the collection at Cerite National Museum. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: explore the ancient world of Parco Archeologico di Ostia Antica, then enjoy the sand and surf at Moai Beach, and then delve into the distant past at Necropoli della Banditaccia.

Turin to Ostia Antica is an approximately 4- hour combination of flight and bus. You can also take a train; or drive.
