Turin

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
La Venaria Reale and Egyptian Museum of Turin are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get some historical perspective at Basilica di Superga and Palazzo Reale. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Sacra di San Michele (in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino), Orta San Giulio (Sacro Monte di Orta & Lake Orta) and Team Adventure (in Cumiana). And it doesn't end there: see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, admire the natural beauty at Parco del Valentino, get a taste of the local shopping with Mercato di Porta Palazzo, and contemplate the long history of Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone.

Courmayeur is a town and comune in northern Italy, in the autonomous region of Aosta Valley. Kick off your visit on the 20th (Thu): look for gifts at Napapijri, boost your wellbeing at a local thermal spa, and then relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour.

In the Aosta Valley bordering Switzerland and France, the medieval city of Aosta is famous for its prime skiing conditions and rich cultural history.
On the 21st (Fri), step into the grandiose world of Castle of Fenis, explore the historical opulence of Verres Castle, step into the grandiose world of Castello di Issogne, then see the interesting displays at Forte di Bard, then look for gifts at Salumificio Maison Bertolin, and finally don't miss a visit to Porta Pretoria. On your second day here, explore the historical opulence of Castello Reale di Sarre, test the waters at a local thermal spa, then delve into the distant past at Criptoportico Forense, then explore the ancient world of Teatro Romano, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Collegiata dei Santi Pietro e Orso.

Alba is a town and comune of Piedmont, Italy, in the province of Cuneo. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Sacra di San Michele and Fortezza del Priamar. Do some cultural sightseeing at Castle of Grinzane Cavour and Centro Storico di Albenga. Get out of town with these interesting Alba side-trips: Castello di Racconigi (in Racconigi), Castello della Manta (in Manta) and Mondovicino Outlet Village (in Mondovi). Asti is a city and comune of about 75,000 inhabitants located in the Piedmont region of northwestern Italy, about 55km east of Turin in the plain of the Tanaro River. Do some cultural sightseeing at La Bollente and Abbazia Santa Maria di Morimondo. For shopping fun, head to Serravalle Designer Outlet or Vicolungo The Style Outlets.
