A wealthy family built Torre dei Lamberti in 1172, and it stands as a reminder of the many towers that once dotted Verona's skyline. The 84 m (275.6 ft) tall structure is a mix of architectural styles added over the centuries. Climb to the top for views of the old town and countryside. Listen for two sets of bells, the Rengo and Marangona, which still ring occasionally. Take the elevator to the viewing platform if the climb looks too strenuous. Torre dei Lamberti Reviews
more »Verona card was impossible, but when I climbed the tower by elevator, I had to pay an additional fee of 1 additional. After climbing the elevator, we climbed the stairs further. The person who has bad legs and the elderly might be tight. It is a bit disappointing that the observatory is surrounded by a net, but you can see the lovely townscape with a red roof.
der besonderen Weise von Verona, totale wundervolle Übersicht über die historische Altstadt Verona und angrenzendes...unbedingt Besuchen wenn wann die Verona-Card gebucht hat... more »the special way of Verona, total wonderful overview of the historic old town of Verona and adjacent... necessarily visit when the Verona-Card has booked...
This was my second visit to this place. As it is really high it was noticeably more cool at the top than down on the streets of Verona. So in the middle of a really hot day it was a great decision to climb the tower (I took an elevator). And the views of the entire city of Verona are simply breathtaking.
A great view of the city in all directions. The ticket was quite cheap and included an elevator ride and also entrance to the museum. There is a net around all of the viewing platform which makes it difficult to photograph the scenery
