Venice Italian School Reviews
It’s about 5 years since I first met Diego and his sister Lucia, when I was staying in Venice for a long vacation, and I’m so happy I found their school. At that time I’d studied Italian on and off in... more »
I spent almost all of September at Venice Italian School. I couldn't have been in a better place. Clever, thoughtful and flexible teachers. Well structured small groups. Strong emphasis on conversatio... more »
What a GREAT experience! Diego is a very conscientious teacher, making sure every student feels comfortable & challenged in each class. Having a maximum of 6 in a class made this the best ever group class I've ever attended anywhere! The lessons are tailor-made to the students' needs, are relevant for improving communication as well as grammatical skills & are so much fun! We laughed as we learned. All the instructors are excellent, professional, knowledgeable & patient. They helped me overcome my fear of speaking/making mistakes. They built my confidence so much that I was able to speak with the locals when I was out & about in Venice. Diego was also a huge help in finding an apartment for me & in navigating my way from the airport to the school! The family & staff are wonderful people, who love their work & truly accelerated my learning & usage of the Italian language. I was there for 11 days of classes in Feb-March. I hope to return in October!
This is my second visit. I love this school. It's professional and concentrates more on speaking whilst at the same time learning the important grammar. Diego and Lucia are fantastic teachers as is Laura. Where the school also stands out is that it is very personal and friendly so immediately one feels comfortable. I love the building itself and the location. It's like being at home. In summary brilliant! I also intend returning next year.
