After looking at Procuratie Vecche turn 180 degrees and look already at Nuove Procuratie. New Appeals were decided to create when the building of the Old Prosecutors was owned by a private person. The design of the building was designed by architect Vincenzo Scamozzi. This building is designed in the style of The Old Prosecutors and the Library of San Marco. Construction began in 1582, but finished work after the death of Scomozzi, already Baldassare Longen in 1640. The second floor is built in the form of a loggia with huge windows. Le Procuratie Nuove sono ubicate in Piazza San Marco, nella zona opposta alla basilica. Together with the Napoleonic Wing (or New Procuratie) and the Procuratie Vecchie, they formed a monumental complex with three Wings in the shape of a U. They were built between the second half of the 16th and about the middle of the seventeenth century, designed before the architect Vincenzo Scamozzi and after the architect Baldassare Longhena. It was divided into 9 apartments, as were the Prosecutors of St. Mark, but with the end of the Serenissima, under the rule of Napoleon, it became the Royal Palace. It is spread over three floors. On the ground floor there is an innumerable series of full-sixth arches delimited by Doric semi-columns; on the first floor there are, interspersed with Ionian semi-columns, as many windows with an all-six arch, supported by Ionian semicolons and preceded by balconies with balustrade; on the second floor, smaller, interspersed with Corinthian semi-columns, there are windows, supported by Ionic semicolons, preceded by balconies with balustrade and topped with alternating triangular and semi-circular eardrums. The main floor of the building is home to part of the Correr Museum, as well as the Museum of Resurgence, the National Archaeological Museum, the Civic Museums Directorate, part of the Marciana National Library and, finally, the renowned 18th-century Café Florian.
It's an amazing place. It's very clean, there are a lot of different restaurants around and other shops, so you definitely find something what you like. It looks like on the postcard. There are a bit to much people like everywhere in Venedig. But still it is worth it to check it out. I liked the place a lot, and the police around there are also very friendly and helpful if you got any question or something.
Very nice place
