  • Several hundred abstract paintings. It is imperative to have a guide, because Picasso is understood in relation to the painters and sculptors we tried to understand (period from 1860 to 1970)!

  • It is very easy and common to visit the Ducal Palace, in the heart of Venezia with the swarm of tourists, who hardly let you see even the apartment, but the visit to the Guggenheim, if you can do it after hours will be unforgettable. My advice is that crossing the academy bridge you turn right into the church and then left until you cross the whole island (not far, about 5 minutes). You'll see following the edge of the small canal, happy hour venues and making gondolas. Everything is of maximum security, and when you get back to where the waters open, you go left to Punta Dogana. You'll be at the end of the island. Alli you pick up the way to the Bridge of the Academy, and halfway through unmissable alleys, with the true autotagonous beauty of an unknown and unpromoted Venezia, you will arrive at the Guggewnheim, without fear of losing yourself, The visit out of time another wonder , to return quietly from there, as this last stretch will be short to the bridge and you cross again to the crowd of the Venezia more seen. A 2 to 2 and half hour tour that you shouldn't miss

  • Such an inspiring person - such a beautiful place and a great legacy! The museum and life story of Peggy Guggenheim are highly unusual and interesting (happy to recommend biographies in the museum shop - available in English, Italian, French and German). The garden is very relaxing place - oasis of greenery and freshness in the busy hot city.
  • Not worth its admission fee. Nice museum with works of huge artists as Miro, Kandinsky, Picasso, Tapies. Unfortunately its more of a checklist of those well-know names than a well curated exhibition. For 5-10 Euros it would be a nice to see place, but 15 Euros is simply too much - even for Venice.
