Palazzo Mastelli o del Cammello Reviews
Lasciarsi alle spalle le solite strade regala meraviglie, come quella di un cammello in laguna. Merita il palazzo (peccato per l'intonacaccio) e merita l'intera zona. Consigliatissimo more »Leave behind the usual streets offers charms, like that of a camel in the lagoon. Deserves the Palace (shame about the intonacaccio) and deserves the whole area. Highly recommended

In particular the bas-relief portrays a camel and calls the elegant but a bit bruised Palace handed down have belonged to the three merchants "mori" originating in the Morea, depicted in statues. Their names were Rioba, Sandi, Afani and adopted the surname Christian of Tubs. The building has two facades on the Rio and the field dates back to the 12th century, particularly over the rio denotes Gothic style but with traces of Gothic forms in existing polifora, in Windows and corner balcony, fragments of patere and Byzantine friezes. Many other architectural elements contribute to the overall charm of the building, such as three-light window and balcony on the first floor at the rio, next insert of the Renaissance, Roman used as part of Ara Corner column, the arches, the ledge at the base of the Istrian stone building and a strip of pink Verona brocatelle.
It's nice to get lost in Venice, discover a relief with a camel, a rich family of Greek merchants, the richness of the history of the city and the Mediterranean. And wonder for a small fountain in Arabic style that, until a few years ago, served to quench those who, with the boat, passed on that Rio.
Legend has it that a wealthy merchant left his homeland East heading towards Venice, left by the woman he loved took up residence in Palazzo Tubs or camel and graved on the façade a camel with camel driver to make it easily recognizable to his beloved if one day decided to go look for. On the façade of the building we also note (detail that many do not notice) a posterior Fontanelle (indicated by the arrow at the bottom right of the Palace), followed by photographs, which served to watering who by boat across the channel. Though perhaps is a legend who among us has not thought of leaving any trace of itself for a love that you would never want to miss and you remain waiting for your whole life? Our apartment is located on the main floor in front of Palazzo Tubs and embedded on the façade is a bas relief of San Martino del ' 700, so we have to photograph it. The legend tells that a rich eastern merchant abandoned his land heading towards Venice, left by the woman she loved and taking residence at Palazzo Mastelli or Camel, carved a camel on the facade to make it easily recognizable to her beloved if one day she decided To go find it. On the façade of the palace we also notice (a particular thing that many do not notice) a small fountain (look at the red arrow on the right down side), followed by photographs, which served to drink those who crossed the canal with the boat. Although perhaps it is a legend, who has never thought about leaving a trace for a love that you would never have wanted to lose and you are waiting for it all your life? Our apartment is located on the noble floor in front of Palazzo Mastelli and embedded on the front face to San Martino bas-relief from ' 700, which makes it easy to photograph it.
