  • The Palace has been completely renovated and you can now access all the floors. The workshop of Mariano Fortuny was on the first floor where everything that is exhibited is of a high quality. Beautiful clothes and fabrics, of course. Many paintings by Mariano's father, who was a very famous orientalist painter. Several models of which one for Bayreuth (Mariano was a fan of Wagner), we can not miss the Parsifal room where are exhibited the paintings on the big Wagnerian subject (very successful discreet musical atmosphere). In short, take your time to look at everything in this setting as there are no more and that has been beautifully restored. A thought for Fortuny's wife, Henriette Negrin, a French seamstress who lived there from 1902 to 1965. She invented with Mariano the famous pleated dresses, inspired by Carpaccio (and of which Proust speaks!) and donated this Palace and collections to the city of Venice, for our happiness.

  • This is the Museum of Venice that has evolved the most since its opening four decades ago, it was an almost empty building with some luminaires, models and samples of fabrics in large empty rooms, poorly lit and in poor condition. The building itself was in a poor state and it became a beautiful place that evokes wonderfully the tastes and personality of this creator as well as his time thanks to pieces of exceptional quality.

  • One of the finest museums in this city full of Art, alone for the history of the past owner, inhabitant and creator of this amazing place, Mariano Fortuny. Worth going every single time it's open for temporary exhibitions.
  • Very nice museum....a hidden jewelry.
