  • Very disappointed with this museum. First of all compared to the last comments and what is indicated on the backpacker the price is no longer 5 euros but 13 euros. I was going for the painting of Bosch which was unfortunately absent. This absence is not reported before entering... I put a second star for one of the temporary exhibitions that was honest

  • Near the camp of Santa Maria di Formosa you walk a dark and narrow alley that you can not imagine leads to one of the most beautiful Renaissance palaces in Venice. The piano, though unadorned, by an excellent idea of the opulence in which the Venetian nobles lived. Look up! The frescoes of the rooms are of great value. Walking through several salons you arrive at the dressing room. Hold your breath and come in. Here only until May 2021 you can admire an architectural marvel in its heyday. It is a windowless room lit from above and adorned with a large number of sculptures mostly belonging to the Grimani collection of origin. As mentioned, it is a wonder at the end of the day as the statues will return to the archaeological museum in two years' time and the dressing room, while splendid, will return unadorned. In short, organize yourself because with the statues it is really a crazy place.
