  • The entrance to the museum is in a somewhat hidden position: a small door next to the central church that leads to the ticket office on the basement floor. It goes almost unnoticed. You have the option to make two tickets: the one for the museum and the one for the visit to the bell tower. I recommend doing both given the low price. If you then have the "Museum Subscription" the entrance is free. The museum, as per its title, is not huge but has a valuable collection of paintings, glasses, statues... Christian religious-themed. Definitely interesting even for a non-believer. You visit in half an hour. Then you can climb the bell tower from where you can enjoy a 360-degree view of Turin. Really spectacular. If you pass through the center it is a must-visit destination.

  • Since 2008, the crypt of the Duomo has been decorated as the Museo Diocesano. If you are looking at the façade of the church, you will find the entrance to the museum on the right side of the church. You can choose to buy tickets only to the museum or also ticket both to the museum and to a visit to the bell tower. The museum's exhibition shows paintings, sculptures in wood and stone, and ecclesiastical artifacts such as clothing, fine cases in silver and gold and also a former baptismal font, which originates from Turin's Duomo and a number of other churches in Torino and environs. Not all paintings have equal artistic quality, but overall, the collection is a beautiful testimony of what named as anonymous artists associated with Turin created in the period from about 1400 – 1700. In this ancient crypt beneath the Duomo, you'll also see archaeological excavations from the former Christian churches, making the visit to the museum an extra thrilling experience. Even though religious art may not be what you are most concerned about, it is really worth seeing this historically extremely interesting place.
