Centered in the Rome's Piazza Navona, Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi is one of Italy's most ornate fountains. Admire the detailed sculptures depicting the four rivers known in the world at the time: Nile, Danube, Ganges, and Rio de la Plata. Bernini designed the Egyptian obelisk crowning the 35 m (115-ft) tall structure in 1651. The fountain was intended to be the centerpiece of Pope Innocent X's nearby family palace.   • We walked from our hotel to see this exquisitely beautiful fountain. You may see several other fountains, and we saw 7 total. We liked this one and the Trevi fountain the best. It gets very crowded so get there in the early hours to get some cool pics.
  • Amazing fountain. Stunning masterpice with and Oblisk in the center. Beautiful place to hang out with family/friends and spend some time.
