Chiesa di Santa Maria della Spina
Lying on the bank of Pisa's Arno River, Chiesa di Santa Maria della Spina is one of Tuscany's finest Gothic churches. Although it was originally built in 1230, the church was dismantled and rebuilt on a higher level in 1871 because of water infiltration from the river. The church's name comes from a legend that a thorn belonging to the crown worn by Christ on the cross came here in 1933. The church's facade, with two gates, linteled arches, and several statues and sculptures, is much more ornate than the simple interior. Muy bonita por fuera, es curiosa la ubicación justo al lado del muro del rio, estaba cerrada y no la vimos por dentro. more »
Very nice on the outside, it is curious the location right next to the wall of the river, it was closed and we did not see it inside.View original -
Невероятно красивое и хрупкое на вид, здание часовенки построено на берегу реки. Мимо пройти просто невозможно, а внутреннее убранство достаточно аскетично, видимо для того, чтобы ничего не отвлекало ... more »
Incredibly beautiful and fragile in appearance, the chapel building is built on the river bank. It is simply impossible to pass by, and the interior is ascetic enough, apparently, so that nothing distracts from prayer. Visit this place on the way to the "Wonder Square" will not regret.View original

Good place for kids. Not really much to see for adults and its overpriced at 7 euros to get in and play with oversized lego and sticks. Could be a lot better if the things were MORE interactive instead of being 2 wheels that spin when you turn the handle...

An interesting addition to our trip and walk around pisa. We were unable to go inside so cannot comment on that, but the outside shows some fantastic architecture. If you like this style of building and history then it is worth a view in person.
