Tucked away in the Alps, Santuario di Oropa is a religious sanctuary where you can also stay overnight. Be sure to check out the smaller basilica, which houses the statue of the Madonna of Oropa. The church is an excellent starting point for hiking, skiing, and rock climbing in the mountains. A range of rooms are available, and there's a restaurant on site. In any weather, even yesterday that was a little cloudy and foggy, you feel the power of spirituality coming out of the ever beautiful Ancient Basilica. It is always a beautiful and unique experience to stop for a prayer in front of the Sacello of the Black Madonna. And after the religious interlude, Oropa offers hiking trails of all kinds and many good restaurants where you can taste the Piedmontese dishes and the always mythical ... polenta witheas.

Wow, this place is amaizing. Visiting the churches is something and going up the mountain, walking inside the forest is brilliant way to spend the day out with family. Water so cold and we enjoyed walking up the rocks. Definitely recommend this place to everyone to visit. I will go there again.
Beautiful and amazing place for having a trip with your family and friends. However it's hard to reach it with public transportation, better to go there by car. Since it's cold in winter it's better to go there when it's warm and sunny. The view is amazing, the church itself isn't open all the time, during religious events (especially on Sundays it's not open to public to visit).
