Admire Romanesque architecture in the heart of Tuscany at Palazzo Vecchio. Built at the turn of the 14th century, the palace now serves as the city's town hall and boasts a collection of art and interior decor from the last six centuries. Tour the Salone dei Cinquecento, with its gold-paneled ceiling and colorful murals, or head outside to see the antique, decorative facade and the original site of Michelangelo's "David" statue. You can visit the palace's three courtyards and outdoor areas free of charge, or pay for a complete tour of the building's interior. Il Palazzo Vecchio è veramente uno dei simboli di Firenze. Vi si trovava il centro del potere durante la signoria dei Medici che ovviamente lo hanno reso un vero gioiello. more »The Palazzo Vecchio is truly one of the symbols of Florence. There was the center of Power during the lordship of the Medici who obviously made it a real gem.
Só vimos por fora. Todo o conjunto de obras da praça é maravilhoso! Em Firenze tudo é muito próximo caminhando tranquilamente. more »We just saw it on the outside. The whole set of works of the square is wonderful! In Firenze everything is very close to walking quietly.
This is one of the most stunning building in Florence. Make sure when you are entering you get a full tour ticket including climbing the tower, the views will blow you away. The incredible architecture and ingrained history is something to be marveled at. The paintings are phenomenal and fascinating. Again, make sure you get a tour guide, only then can you truly appreciate this amazing place.
Very crowded but very nice outdoor garden and plaza. Lots to see in the area included the bell tower, museums outdoors and indoors, and lots of amazing food around. Also has many outdoor shops to look at. Will be very enjoyable, as you can see the large crowds.
