フィレンツェ最古の橋としても有名なヴェッキオ橋は、ユニークな形をしています。橋に、彫金細工店などの家々がくっついていることも面白いですが、２階があるように見えるんです。 よく見ると、この２階部分は橋の北側の川沿いにあるウフィッツィ美術館から続いていて、橋の南側のピッティ宮へとずっと続いているんです。これがヴァザーリ回廊であることは後で知りましたが、実にユニークなつくりですね。 more »The Ponte Vecchio, also famous as Florence's oldest bridge, has a unique shape. It is interesting that the houses such as the goldsmith shop are attached to the bridge, but it looks like there is a second floor. If you look closely, this second floor is from the Ufizzi Museum on the north side of the bridge and continues to the Pitti Palace on the south side of the bridge. I later learned that this is the Vasari corridor, but it is a very unique creation.
