On the slopes of the morainic hills along the eastern shore of Lake Garda lies Cantina Zeni e Museo del Vino, a vineyard, shop, and wine museum founded in 1870. The estate continues a long tradition of wine-making in the Bardolino region, and dedicates itself to a wide variety of local wines. A visit to the winery, its spacious cellar, and its modern facilities are all essential for wine-lovers. Learn about the production of this prestigious wine, admire the cellar's frescoes and decorations (with a Bacchanalian theme), and taste a range of wines at the Vinoteca. To learn more about ancient wine-making culture and techniques, from growing the vines to corking the bottles, visit the adjacent wine museum. • Quite an interesting insight into how wine has been produced through the ages. I didn't have the guided tour of the museum, but all the information is printed in Italian, English and I think in German too. It shouldn't take you more than 30 mins to get through the museum, and that's if you read every article. At the end there is wine tasting available, and beyond that, a large shop where you can purchase the various wines they produce. Unfortunately, I was travelling light with on carry-on luggage, so I was not able to take any home.
  • Wine tasting very good, especially if interested in trying local wines. Downstairs add food to enhance the whole experience
