Built in the 1600s, Statue of San Carlone is a bronze statue of San Carlo Borromeo, the archbishop of Milan from 1564 to 1584. This figure overlooks Lake Maggiore, and you can ascend stairs inside the statue to the top, where there are windows through the eyes and ears.
