Lago di Anterselva, Anterselva di Mezzo

#1 of 7 in Things to do in Rasun Anterselva
At the end of the Antholz Valley, centrally located within the Rieserferner Ahrn Nature Park, is the blue-green Lago di Anterselva. The third-largest lake in the mountains of South Tyrol, this calm body of water is surrounded by green meadows. With a surface area of 44 hectares (110 acres), the lake is the perfect size for strolling around on the recently established path. According to local legend, the area that the lake covers was once occupied by three farms, which were subsequently destroyed by a flash flood because the farmers refused to help a poor beggar. • A hike on the lake is also very suitable as a short stop before crossing the Staller Saddle. Beautifully embedded lake with display boards and refreshments. We were even able to experience the Almabtrieb.

  • The hike around the lake has great viewing points with views over the lake and the surrounding mountains. Unfortunately, there were also a lot of tourists on the way. Parking spaces were available.
