  • Spectacular the Cloister of Paradise, adjacent to the Basilica of the SS. Crucifix, surrounded by intertwined columns and double acute sixth that was built between 1266 and 1268 as a cemetery for the rich patricians. It is a real dive into the East: on the sides there are six frescoed chapels from the 14th century, belonging to noble Amalfi families and housed the sarcophagus with the bodies of their illustrious representatives. Of these sarcophagis, only five remain, but very important from the historical point of view. In the middle of the Paradise Cloister is a beautiful palm garden, probably built only after the restoration of 1908, when it was opened to the public.

  • Built in the 13th century as a tomb of aristocrats, the Arab style and tropical trees are exotic and speak to the splendor of Amalfi and the fairly old days.

  • Very beautiful but smaller than expected. Also, visit the cloister first before heading into the cathedral.
  • Good museum and cloister but Italy has much better artefacts elsewhere. 3 Euro ticket.
