  • On two occasions I visited with my family of Colla family vineyards. It is moving to hear Beppe and Tino Colla transmit with so much warmth, vehemence and enthusiasm the family winemaking tradition they are pioneers and have made teaching on the matter in the area, being enologists teachers of many producers today engage the business of wine in this area of Piedmont and also elsewhere in the world. In one of its wineries have set up a museum where preserved with much respect the tools used by their ancestors for the manufacture of wine, there you can see the evolution of the vitiviinicola tradition over the years, a plus that wake up the curiosity that respect for tradition and all that have preserved and capitalized on their ancestors translates today into the excellence of its products, Barbera d'Alba, exquisite Dolcetto, Nebbiolo, Riesling, Barolo, Pinot Noir, and the unbeatable Bricco in the Drago.Imperdible!

  • I discovered this winery randomly through Google maps, gave them a call, and made an appointment for the same day. The woman we met there was super gracious with her time, and we had a great time learning details about winemaking in the Alba region from her. We also got to watch crates full of just-harvested grapes being de-stemmed, which was a treat. All said and done, we spent two terrific hours at Poderi Colla. It was the first winery we went to in Alba, but I highly recommend it.
  • A great, secluded, quieter place for 💯% about wine. The grounds have a great view of the vineyards. We came at no time of visit, but we were pleasantly welcomed into the tasting room, in fact it is a large room with various winemaking items - a real museum with real 100 year old exhibits!! We got there on foot from our hotel near 3.6 km !!!! We were offered water wines and everything is absolutely free !!! The place is simple, I would say "rural" for wine fanatics
