Considered the most illustrious and opulent castle in all of France, Palace of Versailles exemplifies the most beautiful achievements of French art in the 18th century. This former seat of royal power now chronicles the country's past as a museum of the history of France. On your exploration of the numerous buildings, be sure to see the the lavish Hall of Mirrors, the Queen’s bedchamber, the ecclesiastical chapels, and the King's Grand Apartments. If you love books, don’t miss the library, with its delicately carved wooden and stone panels. In the Clock Room, admire the famous astronomical clock encased in bronze. Arrive as early as possible to avoid long entrance lines. Even with advanced tickets, you'll have to wait your turn at the security checkpoint. Alternatively, book a local guide service to bring you to the château and skip the long lines altogether. Definitely a must see if visiting France. Beautiful Gardens and Palace. You can probably tour the Palace in about an hour but we took out time and sat for a while. General Admission includes a audio guide device, which was great. Lots of great info. We went on a Friday around noon and got in right away, no wait. When we left around 2:30, there was a crazy long line all the way to the front gate. Also buy your tickets ahead of time and you don't have to print them. They can be scanned from the phone. There is so much to see wear comfy shoes and enjoy all of the ground. So beautiful. Even in winter.

I really loved this place. Must must must visit place if go to Paris!!! Very serene and huge place. You need a complete day for this place. You can spend the whole day in the gardens itself 👌🏻 You can rent small cars since it's extremely large to walk. Or take train kind of a bus to reach the other end of the garden where queen's palace is there. You can row boat ⛵ on your own. It was really refreshing experience for me. Gardens are extremely huge. So it can accommodate tremendous amount of people. Best place to take kids and hangout. It's kind of a picnic spot. Pick a day with a pleasant weather and your visit seems even more great!
